ABPS 2013 press 15 mar-2Jaipur, March 15: The Akhil Bhartiya Pratibidhi Sabha (ABPS) of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was inaugurated by Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Suresh alias Bhaiyyaji Joshi here at Keshav Vidyapeeth, Jamdoli on Friday by lighting the traditional lamp.

Later interacting with the reporters at a press conference RSS Sahsarkaryavah Dattatrey Hosbole said that 1395 members were participating in the Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha from all over Bharat.

The meeting will discuss in detail the qualitative and quantitative progress of the RSS work and its impact on the society. The participating members will also deliberate on the goals to be set for the coming year.

He said that last year Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS) undertook a wonderful initiative – Sarhad ko Pranam. About 6000 swayamsevaks participated in this initiative wherein they visited border areas of Bharat. They experienced the extreme conditions in which our defense personnel guard our borders besides sharing experiences with our brothers and sisters who live there.

Hosabale told the reporters that the Swami Vivekananda Sardhashati Samiti was organizing various programs throughout the country celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of patriotic saint Swami Vivekananda. He said that on January 12, 2013, birth date of Swamiji, processions were organized all over the country in which lakhs of brothers and sisters from all age groups, castes and creed participated.

This massive public participation sent a very strong message of nationalism and Hindutva in the society, the RSS leader said. He informed the reporters that February 18, 2013 was celebrated as Mass Surya Namashkar day wherein more than 2.5 crore students from class 8th to 12th participated. A large number of Muslim and Christian students also participated in the program. It was organized keeping in mind Swamiji’s ideology, “sound mind in sound body”.

The ABPS would adopt a resolution at the end of the meeting. One of the key points of the resolution would be the plight of Hindu immigrants. Six decades after the partition of Bharat, from both East (Bangaladesh) and West Pakistan, even now lakhs of Hindus were taking refuge in the country because of worsening conditions in their respective countries. “Our resolution would demand that our Government should ensure basic necessities for these hapless Hindus”, he said adding that it should also come out with a concrete policy to deal with such immigrants.

Hosabale told the reporters that the plight of women in Bharat at present was very serious issue and corrective steps needed to be taken on an urgent basis.

Strongly criticizing the resolution passed by the Pakistan Parliament on Afzal Guru’s hanging and handing over his body to his relatives, the RSS leader said that this act of Pakistan tantamount to interference in Bharat’s internal matters. “This clearly shows the double standards of Pakistan because on one side they refuse to take the body of Ajmal Kasab or other 12 dead Pakistani terrorists in the Mumbai terror attacks. On another hand they demand the body of Afzal Guru. Pakistan needs to put an immediate stop to this undue interference and should respect the law of the land” he said.

Talking about Ram Temple at Ram Janmbhoomi, Hosabale said that even after the Allahbad High Court’s order which clearly stated that there was a temple underneath the Babri structure, the Babri Masjid Action Committee refused to acknowledge the same. This was the same committee that had said that they would have no objection for construction of Ram Temple if the existence of the temple before Babri Masjid were proved.

Various Dharmacharyas and Sant Mahatma passed a resolution at the just concluded Allahabad Maha Kumbh for construction of Ram Mandir and urged the Government to ensure speedy action for the same, he said.
