togadia-bdNagpur, June 5: "Though the Hindu society did not lack in valor and courage, it has been suppressed by excessive doses of non-violence and peace in the last 200 years. The growing insults heaped on Hindu society are resulting out of this inaction and indifferent attitude that has crept in the society following these overdoses of non-violence and peace. The time has come to throw off this inertia and stand with fresh strength, vigor and valor to protect the 100 crore Hindu society and Dharma in India, appealed Dr Pravin Togadia, International Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

Dr Togadia was speaking at the concluding function of Shaurya Prashikshan Shivir of Bajrang Dal at Nagpur. Baljindersingh Nair presided over the valedictory program while VHP VIdarbha Pressident Vijayjit Valia, Vice-President Prof Hemant Jambhekar, Secretary Ajay Nildawar, Umesh Pradhan were prominently present.

The firebrand VHP leader said that the Bajrang Dal now has to perform a greater role of protecting the Hindu society which finds itself under all kinds of attacks from anti-Hindu forces. The Hindus are 100 crore in the population of 120 crore yet they are subjected to humiliating insults, their daughters, sisters and mothers are molested, their rights are denied and the political powers are trying to wedge a divide in the Hindu society in the name of castes, reservations, languages etc.

All these efforts should be defeated and for this the Hindu society will have be prepared. Bajarang Dal will have to instill this sense of valor, confidence and strength in the Hindu society once again, Dr Togadia said.

Lashing out at attempts to weaken the Hindu society by offering reservations to other communities, the VHP leader said that any society which loses its bravery, self-esteem and valor meets such consequences. This situation will have to be reversed so save the Hindu society and this nation.

He also criticized the attempts to rechristen the historic Nagpur Railway Station after a local Muslim Sufi saint Baba Tajuddin Auliya. The VHP leader said that Nagpur is known by its rules the Bhonslas who gave Nagpur its present stature. Besides, Nagpur has produced a great number of stalwarts and social and political leaders whose name could be given to the railway station. Instead, moves are afoot to rename Nagpur railway station after those who never mixed with and considered them as part of Hindu society. This is ridiculous; he said and added such moves should be opposed tooth and nail.

Referring to the role played by Bajrang Dal in Amarnath Yatra Dr Togadia said that because Bajrang Dal gave a tit-for-tat to those terrorists who threatened the devotees going for the Amarnath Yatra, the number of devotees have up considerably. As a result, the Hindu society is slowly getting awakened from the deep slumber.

Bajrang Dal activists must look for stopping cow slaughter, providing jobs to needy Hindus, and protecting Hindu society. He appealed to the Bajrang Dal activists to open branches in all the wards and localities of the city.
