Dawoodi Bohra head priest donates Rs. 14.21 cr for U'khand

undefinedUdaipur, July 8: In what can be considered to be a most humane gesture, the Head Priest of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin has donated Rs. 14.21 crore towards the rehabilitation of the people and reconstruction of the infrastructure affected by the month long crisis at flood ridden Uttarakhand.

The media spokesperson of the community at Udaipur, Ali Kausar informed that the head priest has requested the people to come forward and help in any manner they can.

The Union Home Ministry and the Uttarakhand Welfare Society have appreciated this timely and humongous gesture on part of the Syedna.

Kausar also mentioned that if more such assistance is received timely, the Government will face no difficulty in rehabilitating Uttrakhand and over the next two years, the holy shrine of Kedarnath will retain its original glory.
