Nagpur, Oct 11: Congratulating the government and the Indian Armed Forces for successful 'Surgical Strikes' inside the LoC, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat said that entire Kashmir including PoK areas of Mirpur, Muzzafarabad, Gilgit and Baltistan belonged to India and is an inseparable and integral part of the country.

Dr. Bhagwat was speaking at the annual Vijayadashami Festival which eventually marks the foundation day of the Sangh, at the historic Reshambag ground here on Tuesday.

Retired IES officer and President of All India Safai Mazdoor Sangh, Delhi, Satyaprakash Rai presided over the function. Western Kshetra Sanghchalak Dr Jayantibhai Bhadesiya, Vidarbha Prant Sah-Sanghchalak Ram Harkare, Nagpur Mahanagar Sanghchalak Rajesh Loya and Sah-Sanghchalak Shridhar Gadge shared the dais.

The RSS Chief's address has attracted added attention this year because of the change in the RSS uniform and the successful Surgical Strikes conducted by the Indian Army.

Dr. Bhagwat, donned in the new trouser uniform of RSS, lauded the government and the parliament for taking successful diplomatic steps to isolate the enemy with a strong resolve and called for the implementation of the policy with the firm hand.

Major areas of the Kashmir valley, Jammu and Ladakh are less disturbed and the situation in these areas is well under control, the RSS chief said, adding that there is an urgent need to promote, consolidate and establish nationalistic activities and forces in these areas.

He advised the Central and State governments and the administration to work in tandem, adopting a common policy with a definitive attitude to rein in the internal and external forces of disruption active in the disturbed areas.

Calling for an immediate end to the discriminatory approach of the state administration towards Jammu and Ladakh, the RSS Chief said only if the Jammu & Kashmir government and administration act with a nationalistic feeling, and perform in a clean, considerate, impartial and transparent way, the people of the state will certainly have simultaneous feeling of victory and confidence, and the process of assimilation of the people of the valley will move forward.

Asserting that the whole world is aware of the subversive activities constantly promoted from across the border are mainly responsible for the disturbances in the Kashmir valley, Dr. Bhagwat said it has also come to knowledge that some groups active in the border areas of Bharat and having different countries of the world as the hub of their operations, indulge in subversion, violence, terrorism, smuggling of drugs and narcotics, are hand in glove with such elements.

The attack on the Army camp in Uri has underscored the need for continuous preparedness on the part of our combat forces and the level of perpetual coordination and cooperation among the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and defence forces, he said.

Keeping a watchful eye on the maritime boundaries as well as the frontier areas, the administration and the people should, with mutual cooperation, root out all forms of antisocial activities and the forces behind it, the RSS Chief said.

Dr. Bhagwat laid emphasis on following and honouring the federal structure adopted by the Constitution and said that our thoughts, deeds. and words should be such to cement and further fortify the feeling of 'One People, One Country, One Nation' to that no force can weaken it.

Touching another important issue of 'Gauraksha' the RSS Chief advised the government, and administration to take action against the violators of law but spare those who are sincerely and honestly serving the cow or engaged in cow protection mission.

He said that cow protection is well spelt out in the Directive Principles of our Constitution, but according to our belief and tradition, it is our sacred duty.

Not only the Sangh Swayamsevaks but many saints and other people throughout the country are also carrying forward this work as a sacred mission, remaining strictly within the framework of the Constitution and law.

Sometimes in some places in these states, the Go-sevaks have to do active campaigns to ensure proper implementation of such laws. But they cannot be compared with those undesirable elements, who raking up the issue of cow-slaughter or spreading unfounded rumours about cow-slaughter, are busy serving their narrow personal or political ends.

He said that ensuring that the laws for the prevention of cow slaughter are flawlessly implemented and general law and order is also strictly maintained, the administration should not weigh the law-abiding citizens and anti-social elements on the same scale.

Sounding a word of caution for the politicians he said that in the event of such incidents, politicians, while taking sides with an eye on political gains, along with ensuring that the moves they make do not lead to further widening the schism, should also see to it that their thoughts, words and deeds are helpful in lessening the feeling of hatred and ill-will and this is what society expects of them.

Some sections in the media also, in the hope to enhance their commercial gains, are in the habit of sensationalising the reporting of such issues by blowing them out of proportion, he said adding that they have to resist this temptation.

As dense clouds of the threat to security, unity, sovereignty and integrity loom large even today, it is all the more necessary to take forward the tradition of goodwill promoted by great seers like Shree Abhinavagupta and Shree Ramanujacharya.

The RSS Chief also touched the issues of education reforms, social and family awareness towards national issues and duties, public festivals like Ganeshotsava, Durgapuja etc. and their social relevance and India's mission in the world during the course of his one-hour speech.

Satya Prakash Rai in his speech lauded the efforts of RSS swayamsevaks in achieving social harmony and unity. He quoted extensively from Dr Hedgewar, Mahatma Gandhi, Golwalkar Guruji and Balasaheb Devras to drive home his point of observation about RSS activities and mission.

He lauded the role of RSS in the freedom struggle, social service and eradication of untouchability.

Earlier, the swayamsevaks in new uniform performed physical drill, route march and guard of honour to the guest. Bhagwat and the other dignitaries performed 'Shastrapujan' and offered floral tributes to the 'Samadhi' of RSS Founder Dr. K B Hedgewar and his successor M.S. Golwalkar 'Guruji' at the Reshimbag premises.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis, Union Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari, Rashtra Sevika Samiti Chief Shantakka, Pramukh Karyawahika A Seethakka, singer Anuradha Paudwal, Maharashtra Power Minister Chandrasekhar Bawankule, RSS All India Prachar Pramukh Dr. Manmohan Vaidya, Sah-Prachar Pramukh J Nandkumar, senior RSS ideologue M G Vaidya, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, MLA Anil Sole, Nagpur Mayor Pravin Dake, foreign delegates, saints, representatives of Muslims, Sikhs and other communities were prominently present on the occasion.
