Juvenile held guilty for 2013 Patna, Bodhgaya blasts

Patna, October 12: Four years ago serial blasts rocked Patna Gandhi Maidan and Bodh Gaya. Six persons were killed and eight injured in the Patna blasts on October 27, 2013, during the Hunkaar Rally, which was addressed by then BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. On Wednesday the Juvenile Justice Board of Patna held a juvenile guilty in the case of the blasts.

At the time of bomb blasts, the guilty Taufique was about 15 years of age. After hearing cases, the Juvenile Justice Board of Patna held him guilty. He was involved in the conspiracy of carrying out explosions in both the places.

He was held guilty under Sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 121 (waging or attempting to wage war), 121A (conspiracy to commit offences punishable under Section 121) of IPC and other relevant sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, The Explosive Substance Act of 2001 and Railway Act, 1989.

National Investigation Agency is carrying on the probe. NIA remanded him to a special home for three years in each case. The judgment in both cases is expected soon.
