Indian Air Force launched innovative health application ‘MedWatch’

New Delhi, October 13: To mark the 85th anniversary, Indian Air Force launched an innovative health application ‘MedWatch’; aims to provide authentic health information to all IAF personnel. This app was developed while keeping in mind with the Prime Minister's vision of 'Digital India'. The App was formally launched by Chief of Air Staff BS Dhanoa on Oct 11 during the Air Force Commanders' Conference. 

The concept and content of the App is by the Directorate General of Medical Services (Air) and it has been developed in-house with zero financial outlay by the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT). 'MedWatch', available on the IAF's AFCEL network, comprises a host of features that will provide authentic health information to all IAF personnel. A Reminder Tool to enable timely immunization for the children of all Air Warriors is an important component of the App. This will directly enable 'Mission Indradhanush' of the Govt of India.

 

'MedWatch' app comprises a host of features like a reminder tool to enable timely immunization for the children of all Air Warriors. ‘MedWatch’ is the first mobile health app in the three Armed Services.
