PM Modi views proper connectivity as an important factor for greater development

Mokama, October 14: Since 2014, when Prime minister Narendra Modi took the charge has been launching various projects for the development of East India. Walking along the same line, PM laid the foundation stone for a number of infrastructural projects including Namami Gange and National Highways projects at Mokama. The newly launched four national highways projects are worth Rs 3,031 crore. During the ceremony, he emphasized the need for proper connectivity for better development.

“We are focussing on increased pace as far as road construction is concerned. The projects related to Namami Gange will help preserve the Ganga. The recent Antyodaya expresses flagged off will improve connectivity between Bihar, eastern India, and other parts,” Pm commented on new projects.

“I assure you the Centre and Bihar Government will do everything possible for Bihar's growth,” PM Modi said at a public meeting there. He later added, “Projects whose foundation stones are being laid will give impetus to Bihar's development.”

He mentioned the vital role of state government for the development of Bihar and how it worked in unity with Central Government to make the process more successful. Later he said how previous administrations constantly ignored infrastructure of the rural India while the NDA government is in the process of doubling the pace of road building as part of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.

Highlighting the relevance of Namami gange project he said, "Our first priority is that river Ganga must not be polluted. We are running this campaign to stop any waste from entering river Ganga."

In the gathering, PM wishing for Chhat and Diwali announced four special trains so that that people in Bihar and North-eastern UP can easily reach their home during the festive season.
