Patna, October 14: The first university of Bihar, Patna University touched 100 years on 1st October. At the centenary celebration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the need for innovative learning. He said from conventional teaching, Indian universities need to move towards innovative learning.

He started the speech expressing happiness over the fact that he is the first ever Prime Minister of India to visit Patna University. “I consider it my honor to visit Patna University and be among the students. I bow to this land of Bihar. This university has nurtured students who have contributed greatly to the nation,” PM said.

The success story of Patna University has been told by both PM And Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In Indian Civil Service, the contribution of Patna University students is very significant. “In every state, the top levels of the civil services have people who have studied in Patna University. In Delhi, I interact with so many officials, many of whom belong to Bihar,” PM said.

The youth of India, the students present in the celebration think about innovative solutions to the problems faced by people around you. “Through what you learnt and the Startup sector there is a lot you can do for society,” he said emphasizing a very important point of merging theoretical knowledge with practical application.
