Moscow, October 14: Whereas most of the countries want to put tougher sanctions on North Korea, Russia heading in a different direction wants a political solution to this problem. To make this true during 137th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, Russia is trying to arrange a dialogue between the North Korea and South Korea delegations.

Though the officials know the probability is not that high still they are putting high effort. "We will try to make an agreement, persuade them and explain the importance of dialogue and try to sit down at the negotiating table and attempt to start searching for compromise,” Russia’s Federation Council (upper house) Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.

The situation in Korean Peninsula is alarming. The residents from both south and north are afraid of war. Hence Russia wants to give North Korea a chance to voice their opinion to solve the issue. The upper house speaker would hold official bilateral meetings with South Korea’s parliament speaker and the first deputy chairman of North Korea’s parliament.

The constant exchange of words between US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un is ongoing. North Korea keeps coming up with a warning every day. In this situation, if a talk is possible that would be good for both Korean peninsula and other parties involved in the tussle.
