Madhya Pradesh government unveils new policy for MSP calculation

Sagar, Oct 16: In order to boost the agriculture sector in the state of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today launched the 'Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojna' to ensure the suitable Minimum Support Price. Addressing the gathering of farmers Shivraj informed that government is taking all the steps for the hassle free purchase of crops.

 

Calling 'Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojna' as the most prestigious move helmed by the state government, Chauhan mentioned that Madhya Pradesh is the first state to lend money to farmers at zero percent interest.

Elaborating on the policy Chouhan noted that an average will be drawn from the market prices of three different states and then the difference between 'Model Price' of crops and its 'MSP' will be deposited in the bank accounts of farmers.
