The light of Diwali brightens Canada; Justin Trudeau conveys his warm wish during ceremony

Ottawa, October 17: Going beyond all rituals Festivals unite society, bring people together. The great Indian festival of color and light, Diwali has proved festivals don’t know the limits of the boundary as Canada celebrated Diwali. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was present in the celebration along with five ministers. Zulu king also celebrated Diwali last month.

The warm gesture of Trudeau became more vibrant as he pulled off Indian attire Sherwani perfectly during the occasion. He lit the ceremonial lamp and wished the Indian Diaspora a happy Diwali. Indian community not only got the company of Canadian PM Trudeau but also the Chief Justice of Canada and the distinguished judges of the Canadian Supreme Court were present.

Any Indian festival is not complete without a delicate Indian meal. Diwali on the Hill was followed by a Diwali Dinner at India House in honor of the Chief Justice of India. Joint India stamps of Canada and India was unveiled in Ottawa.

This year’s Diwali falls on 19th October. Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights celebrated every year in autumn. Its celebration includes millions of lights shining on housetops, outside doors and windows, around temples and other buildings in the communities and countries where it is observed.
