1 Cr applications registered till now for Maha loan waiver scheme; Actual disbursement to start from 18 Oct

Mumbai, October 17: Over 1 Crore applications got registered online for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Sanman Yojana and now actual disbursement would start from 18 October 2017. We are starting the process of disbursement of actual benefits of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Sanman Yojana from 18th October 2017 by depositing loan waiver amount into farmers’ bank accounts, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. 

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis gave a visit to Cement Nullah Band and Jal Yukt Shivar at Kadwanchi in Jalna. He was accompanied by other ministers like Babanrao Lonikar, Arjun Khotkar, Raosaheb Danve.

 

Praising the different techniques adopted by the farmers, CM Fadnavis praised water conservation model of Kadwanchi which gave a boost to its agricultural productivity and appealed other villagers to adopt the same practices. Speaking about the initiatives taken by Government of Maharashtra, CM Fadnavis spoke on group farming, investment of over Rs. 25,000 Crore into agriculture. Further, he said that Jalna will be better connected with Samruddhi Corridor and also dry port to give best market opportunities to farmers.

 

Further, in the day, CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated cement roads of Jalna city and also addressed Vikas Parishad at Jalna. With Institute of Chemical Technology and dry port, we are changing complete scenario of Jalna and nearby districts. Seed Park in Jalna will also provide the good number of employment, said CM Fadnavis while addressing the inauguration. He also performed Bhumipujan for Rajur-Tembhurni Road on National Highway 753 in Jalna district with other leaders.

Further CM Fadnavis addressed the gathering of farmers while paying a visit to Agro India GatSheti (Group Farming) Sang. Addressing the gathering, Fadnavis said that ‘Group Farming’ brings farmers together, gives a choice of diverse crops and makes available technological assistance. We have reserved fund of Rs.200 Crore for group farming. With Gal Mukta Dharan-Gal Yukta Shivar, #JalYuktShivar and farm ponds on demand we are helping farmers to increase the fertility of land and to give best irrigation facilities and by this we got success to make thousands of villages free from the tanker, he added.

Highlighting the significance of ‘Group Farming’, he said to encourage group farming we also formed a scheme to give benefits of multiple schemes and incentives to farmers in groups. The group gets benefits of almost up to Rs.1 Crore.
