Devendra Fadnavis welcomes Narayan Rane, says cabinet expansion on cards

Mumbai, Oct 17: For the first time commenting on the new political venture of senior leader Narayan Rane, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has confirmed that Narayan Rane’s Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha will be the new partner of BJP led NDA government. 

Speaking to the media Fadnavis announced that the ruling party is planning to expand its cabinet before winter session at Nagpur. BJP led government under the leadership of Devendra Fadanavis will complete its stint of three years on 30 October. When asked about the cabinet entry of Narayan Rane, the Maharashtra Chief Minister asserted that party will take the final call after the due consultation with apex leadership.

Earlier in this month, the former Congress leader had floated his own political outfit Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha after snapping ties with Congress and extended its support for BJP led NDA. According to media reports, Rane was annoyed with the functioning of MP Ashok Chavhan who is heading the state unit of Congress.
