Tokyo, October 18: Giving a major boost to Japan-India bilateral relation in the field of skill development, Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has signed a Memondarum of co-operation on Technical Intern Training Programme (TITP). He attended 6th LNG Producer-Consumer Conference in Tokyo where his counterparts from countries like Qatar, Mozambique, Malaysia, Japan were also present.

Moc on TTIP:
The MoC on TITP is expected to significantly expand the bilateral cooperation between India and Japan in the field of skill development. "The technical interns trained in Japan under the TITP would be an asset for the Skill India initiative upon their return to India," an official statement said. As per the MoC, India will send youngsters there as technical interns for on-the-job training for a period of three to five years.

LNG Producer-consumer conference:

During LNG Producer-consumer conference, Dharmendra Pradhan addressed the gathering of Ministers, CEOs, energy experts & international LNG industry members. He emphasized on developing a transparent, flexible, competitive market for LNG as India imports 50% of gas need as LNG. Hence better terms & prices for LNG import contracts are important for our country.

He signed Memorandum of Cooperation on LNG with Minister of Economy, Trade & Industry of Japan focusing on better unity in the area.
