BSF arrests Pakistani intruder in Suchetgarh sector of Kashmir

Jammu, October 18: Infiltration of terrorists from Pakistani side is very common these days. Few of the infiltrators cross the border by mistake and many others cross to carry out cowardice act in the Indian territory. Notably, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday arrested a Pakistani intruder on the International Border in Suchetgarh sector of RS Pura tehsil in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

A 22 year old Pakistani intruder was arrested by BSF Jawans from along the International Border in Suchetgarh sector of R S Pura here soon after he crossed over to this side of the fence but repatriated him to the Rangers within few hours after confirming that he had crossed over to this side inadvertently and was not a suspect.

During the investigation, the man was identified as Ali Raja who was a tailor at Pasroor in Pakistan's Sialkot. Pakistani currency notes were recovered from him. After confirming no threats from the intruder, BSF repatriated him to Pakistan Rangers within few hours. The BSF established contact on the hotline with the Rangers and repatriated the Pakistani national with sweets and new dress through Octroi Post of Suchetgarh sector on Wednesday evening.

Earlier, in the week, the Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) which comprises security and intelligence officials for assessing the ground situation said that at least 70 terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad managed to sneak into the Valley this year.
