Seoul, October 18: The countries which are in worst danger due to North Korea threat are putting endless effort to counter the threat. Diplomats from the United States, South Korea, and Japan discussed policy responses to the escalating tension created by stubborn attitude and expanding the nuclear programme of North Korea. They reaffirmed the strong commitment to finding a diplomatic solution.

The allies agreed that the situation in Korean Peninsula should be “managed stably”. Before the talk, South Korean Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-Nam, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan and Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Shinsuke Sugiyama met in Tokyo and agreed to seek ways to pressurize North Korea.

Since the countries don’t want a war they are still searching ways for diplomatic solution. For denuclearization of Korean Peninsula, the countries want to bring North Korea to the negotiation table. But still, the countries want to remain prepared for any situation that can come.

"Diplomacy is our primary objective and primary means of addressing the threat posed by North Korea. But we need to be prepared to respond to any eventuality given the unpredictable nature of the regime in Pyongyang,” U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan said.
