Chandrababu Naidu pitches for strong India-US cooperation to boost agriculture sector

Chicago, Oct 21: Underlining the importance of innovative ideas and promotion of technical knowledge in the field of the agricultural sector, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that greater co-operation between India and the US would boost the agricultural production for both countries.



On the first leg of his three-nation visit, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister was addressing the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) roundtable in association with the Iowa State University. During his visit to Iowa University, Babu also had a brief discussion on the use of crop genetics and other methods used for the higher agricultural productivity.


On this occasion, a delegation of the Indian government as well as representatives from John Deere Financials, PepsiCo, US Department of Agriculture, US India Foundation, GrainPro, Pioneer, and the Global Food Banking Network were Present.

The Chief Minister also had interaction with the representatives of around 80 IT companies from all of US. According to state government officials, within 12 months around 500 new IT firms are ready to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh government.
