‘Run For Martyrs’ Marathon organized by BSF

New Delhi, October 23: In the memory of martyrs, the BSF have organized Half Marathon on Sunday flagged-off by the Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore. The Marathon saw the total participation of 4865 registered runners. Marathon received an overwhelming response of residents of Delhi.

 

Minister Kiren Rijiju flagged-off the other segment of the race of five Kilometer and he also participated in the marathon. PT Usha, Abhinav Bindra, Amit Luthra and Swara Bhaskar supported the BSF Half Marathon.

Cricketers Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, and Yusuf Pathan also supported the BSF Half Marathon by their social media posts. While the actor Akshay Kumar gave his support to BSF Half Marathon 2017 run for Martyrs. While the HRD minister Satya Pal Singh and classical dancer Sonalman Singh was present during honoring the winners.

The family members of martyrs were felicitated and all the trophies, prizes were dedicated to force martyrs. While the medals and certificates were distributed to all the participants.
