Global Investors Summit: CM Sonowal appeals investors to Come and Make in Assam

New Delhi, October 25: Inviting potential investors to participate in Advantage Assam, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal appealed to the businessmen and investors to come and make in Assam at Global Investors Summit. The first ever global investors’ summit to be held in the Northeast, saying his state can now be termed as the land of potentialities, possibilities and prosperity.

 

Attending the curtain raiser of Global Investors Summit, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal made remarks informing that Advantage Assam Summit to be held on 3rd and 4th of February next year in association the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Guwahati.

 

Addressing the curtain raiser event, the CM said that Assam has tremendous business possibilities and investors and entrepreneurs are welcome to come and explore these opportunities. Minister Sonowal also said that the state government is willing to offer special assistance to the businesses that are keen in setting up their operations in the north eastern state.

Applauding Prime Minister Modi he said that PM’S vision of transforming Assam into New Engine of growth would soon be realized with central government’s continuous support. He said that Assam, with its proximity to Bangladesh and ASEAN countries offers a market of 800 million people.

Assam has been earlier termed as the land of difficulties and problems but today it can be called as a land of potentialities, possibilities and prosperity because in the past one year capital investment of around 6500 Crore has flowed into the state from various companies, the Chief Minister added.
