Jammu and Kashmir police nabs Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Arizoo Bashir from Pulwama district

Srinagar, October 25: Security forces on Tuesday arrested a terrorist named Arizoo Bashir who belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the arrested terrorist.

 

Notably, based on the specific information from the sources, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police led a joint operation to nab the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Arizoo Bashir from Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Arizoo Bashir was active in the valley since 20th September of this year.

However, the Jammu and Kashmir police gave the information of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist arrested through twitter. The tweet read, “Hizb militant arrested by Police and SF in Tral. He was active for quite some time. @spvaid @HMOIndia”. The security officials were not available to comment further on the case.


Earlier, in the day, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested the Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin's son Shahid Yousuf in connection with terror funding case. In the month of mid-October this year, Jammu and Kashmir police busted a terror module and arrested three terrorists from Kulgam district of the valley. The two terrorists belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and one from the Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit.
