Two Naxals arrested in the joint operation by the security forces in Sukma

Sukma, October 27: The security forces have arrested two Naxals by launching the joint operation in Sukma district which comes under the Bhejji police station of Chhattisgarh. The operation was launched jointly by the Cobra, Special Task Force, Central Reserve Police Force, DRG, and DF.

 

In June 2017, the encounter between the naxals and security lead to the death of two security personnel and three were injured in Sukma. The two COBRA Battalions, 201 and 206 of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Chhattisgarh police launched a major operation code named 'Operation Prahar' in Sukma district against Naxals.

On Wednesday night, a joint Operation carried out by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Chattisgarh Police killed three Maoists in an encounter which took place in the district of Rajnandgaon. One SLR, one INSAS rifle, and one AK- 47 has been recovered.
