Security forces eliminated 3 terrorists who carried out fidayeen attack on Srinagar's BSF camp

Srinagar, October 3: Security forces on Tuesday morning eliminated three terrorists who attacked Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Srinagar's Humhuma area. The search operation is on. Unfortunately, in the coward attack, 1 BSF official was martyred while two others are injured.

 

Notably, three terrorists entered the 182 battalion of the BSF camp near the Srinagar Airport outside the Airforce station at Gogo Humhama in the wee hours of Tuesday. As soon as the terrorists entered the base camp they started firing in which 1 BSF Jawan was martyred while two others were injured.


Security forces, however, eliminated all the three terrorists after a fierce gun battle. The body of slain terrorists with arms and ammunition were recovered. Security forces including CRPF, 53 Rashtriya Rifles, BSF and SOG zonal carried out the joint operation to eliminate all the terrorists.


Yesterday, Indian security forces eliminated two Pakistani terrorists in the Rampur sector of Baramulla district along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and foiled the major infiltration bid. While Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire in Poonch district’s Kerni and Digwar sectors due to which two children were killed and four people were injured. Indian army also retaliated heavily to the coward attack of Pakistani forces. Asrar Ahmad, 10, of Keran sector and 15-year-old Jasmin Akhtar of Digwar died due to injuries as Pakistan fired mortar shells in parts of Poonch along the Line of Control.

Curbing terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is the topmost agenda of Indian security forces. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that at least 150 terrorists are eliminated by Indian troops in a time period of only 9 months.
