FIFA slammed Nigeria for improper conduct amongst spectators

Abuja, October 3: Football governing body FIFA fined Nigeria with 30,000 Swiss Francs as the fans behavior was not as per the rule during the football match of Super Eagles' 4-0 win over Cameroon at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday.


 

The statement released by the official website of FIFA on Monday states that article 65 and 67 of the FBC FIFA stadium safety and security regulations have been violated by the Nigeria. This has also raised huge concern over the future of Nigeria.

Before Nigeria, Germany, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Chile, England, France, and Guinea were also fined for the various offenses.

It was a 2018 World Cup qualifier which was played between Super Eagles and Zambia at Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday. Due to the improper conduct amongst spectators, Nigeria was charged by FIFA.
