Airlines put the arrested suspect responsible for flight hijack threat on no-fly list

New Delhi, October 30: Jet passenger arrested in keeping threat note in Jet airways flight from Mumbai – Delhi flight (9W339), carrying 115 passengers and 7 crew members on board. The passenger identified as Sallu Birje, confessed to have kept the note in the toilet of the plane. During the investigation he said the officials that he was totally unhappy with the operations of Jet Airways and he wanted to "destabilize the airline's operations"

 

The note was found in the toilet of the plane describing the threat of hijack in Urdu and English. This led the flight to divert and land at Ahmedabad airport on emergency basis.

 

 

Union civil aviation minister Ashok Ganpathi Raju said "I am informed that person responsible for Jet flt 339 (Mum-Del) incident causing landing at Ahmedabad, has been identified. I have advised the airlines to put him on 'No-Fly' list immediately in addition to other statutory criminal action.”

Actions has been taken against the arrested by putting him in ‘No-fly list’
