Jharkhand turns into a stage for film promotions; Anupam Kher meets CM Raghubar Das for his upcoming venture #RanchiDiaries

Ranchi, October 4: Actor Anupam Kher who has gone international to work in the Oscar winning movies has recently produced his first film-Ranchi Diaries. To commence the promotions of the film, Kher visited Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das along with the actors of the film- Himansh Kohli, Soundarya Sharma and Sattwick Mohanty. The film unit thanked him for the support that the government extended to the film. 

Anupam publicly said, “In the last couple of years, the Jharkhand government has been very forthcoming and supportive of the films that are being made to spread awareness about the cultural heritage and tourism of the state.” He added, “We are very fortunate to have been given this (support) by the CM. It was a pleasure meeting him today (Tuesday). He also said that they are trying to make the film tax free since the whole film is shot here.”

 

‘Ranchi Diaries’ follows the story of Gudiya, played by debutante Soundarya and her friends, Taaha Shah and Himansh , who are out to make it big in a small town (Ranchi). It is Anupam’s first production. The film is slated for release on October 13.

During Kher’s visit to Ranchi, he also met the former Indian captain and ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He said that the cricketer’s 2-year-old daughter Ziva is a “genius and an entertainer”. Anupam Kher posted his tweets publicly on Twitter, making the cricketer fans go crazy.
