Patna, October 5: Rashtriya Janta Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav presented before the CBI court on Thursday for questioning in case of IRCTC hotel tenders allotted to private firms in Ranchi and Puri. Court had asked Lalu and his Son Tejasvi Yadav to be present on fifth and sixth October respectively.

According to the local media, in the case of hotel corruption, CBI registered an FIR related to hotel corruption case in which name of Tejasvi Yadav is also enrolled. CBI had earlier issued a notice to Lalu Prasad Yadav but both Father- Son was absent. Due to which they were given a date to be presented in the court. Misa Bharti was also presented along with Lalu in the court.

While going to the court Lalu tweeted that ‘Sach aur gulab sada kaanton se ghire rehte hain’ which means Truth and Roses are always surrounded by Thorns.

CBI had also issued many summonses against Lalu but he defied it three times. After continuously showing an inability to present Court decided to give them a date on which they should be present.

Allegation on Former Rail minister is that he misused his position. In 2006 Lalu allotted the tenders of two IRCTC hotels to the private firms, which belongs to his people. The contract of BNR Ranchi and BNR Puri were allotted to Sujata hotel against which through an anonymous company he got a land of Rs.3 crore as a brokerage.
