Became 1st batswoman to score 6000 runs in One-Day International: None other than Indian Skipper Mithali Raj. Enthusing her fans even with delight, Mithali Raj is going to pen down her inspiring journey of her life, an autobiography which will be released in 2018. 

Also recently the BBC 100 Women list 2017 revealed by the BBC included Mithali Raj in the most influential list. The whole world enthused by Mithali Raj who always gave –the moment of pride for the Indian Cricket. The autobiography book “will provide a candid and revealing look into her personal and sporting life”, according to the publisher’s statement. This interesting thing was announced by the Penguin Random House India.

Mithali Raj is credited with propelling Indian women’s cricket to the centre stage. The Arjuna Award winner, at 19, emerged as one of India’s most capable batswomen with a staggering 214 against England in the second and final Test at Taunton in 2002.

The 35-year-old Raj, who led the Indian team to the final of the Women’s World Cup earlier this year, said that she’s “excited to share my story” and hopes that “people come to like it through this book”. She has the global record for the highest runs taken 6190 ODI runs and a batting average of 51.58. She is one of five women with an average above 50, and the first player to score seven consecutive 50s in ODIs.
