IT department attaches property of Rabari Devi in benami deal case

Patna, October 7: The income tax department has attached three properties of Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabari Devi and her daughter Hema Yadav in Patna for Tax evasion case and benami property deal. The IT department in Bihar has attached three plots located in Danapur and Phulwarisharif locality of Patna district.

 

The IT department said that the 2.5 decimal plots which Rabari Devi had got were gifted by Lalan Chaudhary the person who works at Lalu Prasad’s residence. While the local registry office has been informed in this regard. And they can’t sell the plots to anybody. Both Mother- Daughter got three plots from two persons as a gift.

The plot of 7.5 decimals was donated to Hema Yadav by Lalan Chaudhary and Hridyanand Chaudhury also donated 7.5 decimal plot as a gift to Hema Yadav. IT department had interrogated Lalan Chaudhary and Hridyanand Chaudhary about gifts.

Rabari Devi became the first woman Chief Minister of Bihar on after her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav had resigned as the Chief Minister following the arrest warrant issued against him on corruption charges.
