‘Paryatan Parv’ achieves successful fervour in the country; states’ organize events to boost Indian tourism

New Delhi, October 9: To uplift the tourism industry in India, Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma had started with the twenty-day mega event, Paryatan Parv. On its 4th day of Parv, Indian tourism offices in Goa, Patna and Kolkata organized various activities including Heritage Walks, a ‘Run for Incredible India’ and quiz contests for students to promote ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ as part of the Paryatan Parv celebrations.
 
The celebrations across the country have become extremely magnificent after the launch of this event. The Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav in the world heritage city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat has been beautifully illuminated as part of the Paryatan Parv celebrations, witnessed yoga sessions by AYUSH. A guided Heritage Walk and an excursion trip for students was also organized by India tourism Mumbai in association with the state government.
 
Keeping up with the spirit of Paryatan Parv, Uttarakhand government organized a trek while Himachal Pradesh government conducted a Youth Parliament, to deliberate on the importance of tourism and involvement of youth in the promotion of tourism. Go Heritage Runs were organized in Madhya Pradeshas part of Paryatan Parv. 
Other Central Ministries are also participating in Paryatan Parv by organizing various activities. The Railway Ministry has illuminated some of the major railway stations in the country.
