Security forces eliminated A++ categorized Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Abu Khalid in north Kashmir’s Baramulla

Srinagar, October 9: Indian security forces on Monday eliminated Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Abu Khalid in a fierce gunfight in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Khalid was a most wanted terrorist and was categorized as A++. Also, the security forces have recovered heavy arms and ammunition along with the body of slain terrorists. The search operation is still on.

 

Notably, security forces on Monday gunned down Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Abu Khalid in a fierce encounter that took place at Ladura village of Baramulla district in north Kashmir. The killing of Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Abu Khalid comes in an ongoing anti-terrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir region.

Inspector general of police, Kashmir range, Muneer Khan confirmed the killing of a Jaish-e-Mohammad operational chief of Kashmir, Khalid. “Khalid was behind several Fidayeen attacks on security forces in the region,” Khan said. The IGP said Khalid was a most wanted terrorist and was categorized as A++.


According to the official sources, Khalid along with his aide opened fired at army team patrolling near Baramulla-Handwara highway. However, security forces immediately retaliated to this heavily Khalid was injured but he escaped from the encounter site and took shelter in a building at Ladura village. Security forces asked Khalid to surrender but he opened fire and in retaliation, he was eliminated.

Importantly, Khalid was the operational commander of JeM in north Kashmir. Khalid was allegedly behind several Fidayeen attacks on security forces in the region. He had infiltrated to India between July and August this year.

Interestingly, curbing terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is the topmost agenda of Indian security forces. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that at least 150 terrorists are eliminated by Indian troops in a time period of only 9 months.
