Visakhapatnam, Oct 9: In order to boost the economic activity through technological intervention, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Andhra Pradesh government will extend its full support for new start-ups venturing into the field of technology and innovation.

 

  

 
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who is known for his techno-savvy image opined that the coastal city Visakhapatnam would emerge as a world center of excellence for financial technologies. He was addressing the inaugural function of the two-day international convention on blockchain technologies. Around 80 CEOs from various Finance and IT firms participated in the event.

Recollecting his past experience of making Hyderabad into an IT hub Naidu urged delegates to initiate in-depth research on the sectors like blockchain, machine learning and artificial intelligence for stronger penetration.

 

Briefing about the recent developments the Chief Minister stated that nine companies are already on board whereas near about 11 firms are ready to team up. Commenting on the issue of employment, Naidu said that the fintech initiative has produced 5,500 jobs with 100 IT companies which minted investment of Rs 6,000 crore.
