Mumbai, November 1: Mumbai is known as ‘city of dreams’, ‘Queen’s Necklace’, ‘Bollywood’ and much more. Mumbai is complete in itself. Not many people know but there is a sunrise point at Malabar Hill where there is the residence of our Governor too. It is Mumbai’s best destination. On top of this, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation launched ‘battery operating’ vehicle for one who wishes to take a tour to ‘Raj Bhavan’.

With this environment-friendly initiative, Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao inaugurated the battery-operated vehicle that will now provide a tour of Raj Bhavan to visitors. This spot has always been the ‘tempting’ one as Queen’s Necklace initiates from this. Who doesn’t wants to see?

A statement issued by the MTDC said that the initiative has been taken for comfort and security of tourists. It said, “The government is now looking to further develop the tourist attraction owing to an increase in the number of tourists at Raj Bhavan.”

State Tourism Minister Jaykumar Rawal said that the battery-operated vehicle had been offered to enhance the tourism experience and create greater visibility for the heritage site in Mumbai. “Bhavan, the Governor’s home at Malabar Hill has become the city’s novel tourist hotspot and our aim is to transform Maharashtra into an environment-friendly tourist destination.

This is a small effort by MTDC to diversify tourism products to cater to the passion of growing travellers,” said Minister Rawal at the inauguration of the vehicle.
