#APEC2017 Trump pushes for measures to stop radical Islamic terrorism; praises PM Modi for inclusive growth model

Manila, November 10: US President Donald Trump, who is on his 13 days Asia tour, has attended APEC Summit 2017 in the Philippines. In almost a long one hour speech, he has again emphasized on the issues like free trade, terrorism. While the whole world is in the grips of terrorism, he told that everyone should be together to drive out terrorism and extremism for a peaceful co-existence. During his speech, he has mentioned especially about India’s current astounding growth. He has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing people together.

Addressing to APEC nations, he said America stands as a proud member of the community of nations who make a home in the Pacific. The longtime partnership and alliance of US in indo-pacific will be continued in future. “The story of this region is the story of what happens when people come together to take control of their future,” he added.

The US President who wants to make America great again has been promoting fair trade since when he took charge. In Japan visit also he expressed his dissatisfaction over the imbalance in trade with Japan. In the same manner, he said US has not been treated well by World Trade Organization (WTO).

“We haven't been treated fairly by the World Trade Organization. Unfair trade undermines us all,” he said. “We will not tolerate these chronic trade abuses,’ he added mentioning how open markets ensure fair trade.
