Security Force joint operation arrested eight Naxals

Sukma, November 11: In Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, eight Naxalites have been arrested from the Chintagufa area. Police Deputy Inspector General (Dantewada Range) Sundarraj said that during the operation, a joint team of District police, CRPF Cobra, and Special Task Force arrested the militants from the forest under the Chintagufa Police Station area.

 

In September this year, the arrested Maoists had abducted villagers from Sukma district. The Operation Prahar-2 campaign of the security forces is continuing against the Maoists in Chhattisgarh. The arrested Maoists were presented before the Sukma court on Friday from where they have been sent to jail.

On Tuesday, security forces had killed 6 Naxalites in the forests of Abujhmaad in Narayanpur. In October, the security forces have arrested two Naxals by launching the joint operation in Sukma district which comes under the Bhejji police station of Chhattisgarh. The operation was launched jointly by the Cobra, Special Task Force, Central Reserve Police Force, DRG, and DF.
