Rule of law will restore the legality in Catalonia says the Spanish PM Mariano Rajoy

Madrid, November 13: Due to uncertainty over Catalonia’s independence, about hundreds of firms, have shifted their legal headquarters away from the region. The Prime Minister of Spain Mariano Rajoy on Sunday has urged the businesses that they should not abandon Catalonia. He also said that I call tranquility to all Spaniards. The rule of law will restore the legality in Catalonia.

 

On his first visit to Catalonia after the crisis, Rajoy said that more than 2,400 firms are re-registering their legal headquarters outside Catalonia. The new election has been called on December 21 and he dismissed the Catalonia's government and parliament last month, he added.


He further said that Spain took years for recovery. If normalcy returns to Catalonia, it will increase the intensity of growth and job creation. We ask that companies of Catalonia that we must protect the ties that unite us, we all will win together. We want to recover the Catalonia, plural and diverse, in Spain and in Europe.


Meanwhile, on Saturday hundreds of thousands of Catalan supporters for independence blocked central Barcelona with a demand for releasing separatist leaders who were detained over their independence bid.


On 27th October, the new regional elections have been called on December 21 after dissolved Catalonia's parliament due to the rise of constitutional crisis which led the separatists to vote for independence. The Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont and his executive were also removed by the Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy after an emergency cabinet meeting.
