India aims to be Tuberculosis free by 2025: Trivendra Singh Rawat

Dehradun, November 13: In so far as the awareness level of tuberculosis in Uttarakhand is considered, the state can found the target to finish TB by 2024 said the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat on Sunday. On the occasion of inaugurating the Daily Regiment new treatment method for the treatment of tuberculosis patients, he further added that India has to free Tuberculosis by 2025.

 

Addressing the Inauguration ceremony Rawat said that Tuberculosis is no longer a matter of fear and medical experts have conquered it. But awareness of this disease is very important and with its medical consultation, regular treatment is very important. He further added that the government is serious about the strengthening of health services its continuous efforts are being made for. More recently, the services of teleradiology have been started in 12 hospitals in Pauri headquarters and the remaining 23 hospitals will be started soon.

 

The Chief Minister said that teleradiology and telemedicine are also used in foreign countries for the treatment of remote areas. In the modern era, the younger generation is more updated than before. He told all the youth including students of the nursing college who attended the program that they could directly go to Facebook, Through Twitter and E-mail you can give your suggestions to the Chief Minister.

According to the World Health Organization's Guide Line, to overcome the problem of drug resistance and to provide uniformity in treatment the new procedure will be given a daily fixed dose to the TB patient. Now instead of 78 tablets, the patient will only have to eat two or three tablets.

Under the revised National Tissue Control Program, the daily regimental treatment system is being started which will lead to the destruction of tuberculosis in the state. The training has been provided in all the districts and medicines have been delivered. He said that the diagnostic techniques which were earlier spent on spending Rs 2 to Rs.33 in patients in private hospitals were now made available in government hospitals in 9 districts of the state. The remaining 4 Janpad Pauri will be made available in Tehri Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh in 3 months. 3000 was spent on the expenditure, now it has been made available in government hospitals in 9 districts of the state.
