Washington, November 13: A big opportunity for small and micro businessmen to be on a global platform. A unique way to prove oneself in the world of business has been sorted by World Trade Organization (WTO), Google and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). These three have shaken their hands and organized a competition named ‘Small Business going Global Challenge.’

The main aim of this competition is to promote the small scaled, micro businesses. This competition invites micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to share their stories, through a short video, about how they have used internet technologies to participate in trade.

The competition is intended to help show how MSMEs can leverage internet technologies – such as cloud services, apps, payment solutions, communication and productivity tools, real-time analytics, translation tools and video platforms – to become global exporters.

The participants must upload their videos (not more than four minutes) on youtube (or another video-sharing site) with the tag #msmesgoingglobal and the link emailed to msmes.global.challenge@gmail.com, including the name, age, nationality and contact details of the contestant. English, French and Spanish or subtitled in one of those languages can be used for videos. The last date to submit the video is November 17.

The winner and runners-up will win a trip to a master class at Google in digital skills tailored to MSMEs, the cost of which will be covered by Google.
