Government doctors revoke strike after 6-hour long talks in Rajasthan
Jaipur, November 13: The in-service nine thousand doctors of Rajasthan have revoked their strikes as the government had agreed on most of their demands. The week-long strike has been called off after the six-hour long talk with health minister Kali Charan Saraf and top officials of government on Sunday night.
According to the local media, about nine thousand in-service doctors will resume their duties on Monday. The All Rajasthan In-Service Doctors Association President Dr. Ajay Chaudhary said that the government has agreed to all their 33 demands including grade pay of 10,000 rupees and arrears.
Health minister Kali Charan Saraf said that all stalemate has been resolved. Along with several district hospitals, about 2000 Primary Health centers and 569 Community health centers had been hit by the strike. On 5th November, the government doctors in Rajasthan called on their strike due to which the medical service was affected badly. Services of private hospitals and Army doctors are being taken to tackle the crisis.
