Srinagar, November 14: The First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) President and former chief minister of valley Farooq Abdullah on Monday in Bettiah Nagar police station for his statement on Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Notably, the filing of FIR against Farooq Abdullah was ordered by Bettiah court on charges of treason. The Bettiah court ordered the filing of FIR after a lawyer approached the court over Abdullah's remark that the PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) belonged to Pakistan.

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) President and former CM of the valley Abdullah on Saturday said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) belongs to Pakistan and "this won't change" no matter how many wars India and Pakistan fight against each other.

Abdullah said, "I tell them in plain terms not only the people of India but also to the world that the part (of J&K) which is with Pakistan (PoK) belongs to Pakistan and this side to India. This won't change. Let them fight how many wars they want to. This won't change." He also added that while Kashmir decided to join India out of love, the country betrayed the people of Kashmir and did not treat them well.

However, Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and there can be no compromise on India’s unity and integrity.
