Lucknow, November 15: Now only admission card for appearing standards 10th and 12th board examinations won’t work as Uttar Pradesh government has made Aadhaar card mandatory for board exams. So keep your Aadhaar cards handy when you go for the exams.

Yogi Adityanath government has taken decision to stop the practice of fake candidates appearing for the exams. According to the directive, the students will have to carry their Aadhaar cards along with the admit cards to the examination halls. Aadhaar is also needed when the students register for their board examinations.

And in case any student fails to appear for the examination because of non availability of Aadhaar, the onus would lie on the principal of the educational institution.

This comes months after the Uttar Pradesh government made Aadhaar card mandatory for students from class 1 to 8 in government schools. The responsibility for the same was given to the basic education department.

Aadhaar is not merely a card which has a photo or number on it and your name, age, contact number but a tool that can destroy corruption, frauds in any field and sector. It is paving way towards a developed nation.
