IT minister Nara Lokesh inspects Polavaram project, hails officials

Rajahmundry, Nov 17: Appreciating the ongoing development of Polavaram irrigation project, IT minister Nara Lokesh said that the mega project will transform the lives of AP farmers. The minister also informed that near about 100 tmc ft of Godavari water have been diverted to Krishna delta which will improve the earnings of farmers.

A delegation under the leadership of Nara Lokesh visited the Polavaram irrigation project. On this occasion, six Cabinet ministers, 60 MLAs and 15 members of the upper house took the stack of the ambitious national project. The officials also explained the operation of Pattiseema project, established for the purpose of pumping.


After inspecting the project, Lokesh advised that instated of making wild allegations, the opposition must visit the project site to get the first-hand information about the project.
