Mumbai, Nov 18: Clearing the air on the contentious issue of Padmavati, CBFC Chairman Prasoon Joshi slammed director Sanjay Lila Bhansali for arranging special screening even before the official certification.
As reported by ANI, Joshi who heads the apex film board was reportedly annoyed with the violation of CBFC guidelines. According to media reports, makers of Padmavati had invited some media outlets for the special screening amidst raging controversies and threats imposed by the different fringe elements across the country.
Citing the technical flaw in the documentation, the censor Chief mentioned that makers have failed to submit the important document related to the disclaimer whether the film is fictional or historical. Annoyed with the stance of producers, Joshi further said that CBFC should not be held responsible for technical glitches ignored by Padmavati officials.
