Gujarat Election: BJP issues second list of 36 candidates

Gandhinagar, November 19: The second list of 36 candidates for the polls to 182- member Gujarat assembly has been released by the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Saturday. On November 17, Bhartiya Janata Party declared its first list of 70 candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly Elections.

 

Gujarat's Home Minister for State Pradip Sinh Jadeja will be the candidate from his sitting Vatva Seat. While senior MLAs Dr. Nimaben Acharya from Bhuj, Bhushan Bhatt from Jamalpur-Khadia and Babu Bokhiriya from Porbandar constituencies will contest the election.

 

From Vatva Seat, Gujarat's Home Minister for State Pradip Sinh Jadeja will be the candidate. While senior MLAs Dr. Nimaben Acharya from Bhuj, Bhushan Bhatt from Jamalpur-Khadia and Babu Bokhiriya from Porbandar constituencies will contest the election. Four women candidates have been given tickets by the BJP in the second list.

 

While in the first list, BJP has retained its senior members where Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will once again contest the polls from Rajkot West and Jitubhai Vaghani from Bhavnagar West. While Deputy CM Nitinbhai Patel will continue from Mehsana and senior Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasam has been chosen for Dholak segment.

The Gujarat Assembly will go to polls in two-phases on 9th and 14th of December.
