After long 17 years Haryana girl Manushi Chhillar brings Miss World Crown to India

Beijing, November 19: Haryana based medical student Manushi Chhillar has made India proud on a global platform. After more than an era, she brought the Miss World crown to India after Priyanka Chopra’s win in 2000. Beating 118 contestants she broadened her own smile and the country’s smile o the success of its daughter in Sanya, China, on Saturday. Miss Mexico and Miss England acquired the position of 1st and 2nd runner-up successively.


The Haryana girl was crowned Femina Miss India World in June. As a winner, she presented India in the international forum and definitely did not disappoint anyone. She is from an academically enriched family. Her parents are doctors and she studied at St. Thomas School in Delhi and now a student of Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat. While medical students hardly can manage time from the tight schedule, she proved herself an exception.
 

The beauty with purpose was impressing judges throughout the competition. In last round, she left the judges stunning, with the answer to the question which profession in the world deserves the highest salary. “When you talk about salary, I don't think it's just about cash, but it's the love and respect you give to someone. I think my mom has always been my biggest inspiration; mothers sacrifice so much for their kids. It is certain that one profession which deserves the highest salary, the highest respect, and love, “her magnificent answer was.

‘Beauty’ – the word is often wrongly defined by us. The physical appearance, facial features are not the only parameters of beauty though society definitely lives on this idea of beauty. The inner beauty- goodness of a soul, smartness, intelligence, elegance all the traits combine the characteristics of beauty. Based on all these parameters, the girl won the title. The ‘Head to Head’ challenge and the ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ segment.

 

Famous actor Priyanka Chopra, the winner of 2000 Miss World competition congratulated her successor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated her for making India proud. Haryana, the state which suffers from worst gender inequality, the sex ratio in country housed her. Hence Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also congratulated “Haryana ki Beti” (Daughter of Haryana). He social media account on Twitter flooded with congratulatory messages from celebrities including Virendra Sehwag, Randeep Hooda, Anupam Kher, Vijender Singh.
