JMS 2017: Three-day exhibition to promote mining space of Jharkhand ended

Ranchi, November 2: To promote the Jharkhand state in the national and international mining space the Government of Jharkhand and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Eastern Region has organized the three-day exhibition, Jharkhand Mining Show (JMS) 2017 which ended on Wednesday. 

Addressing the closing ceremony of the Jharkhand Mining Show, Minister CP Singh said that since independence, the state of Jharkhand has not improved. But the situation has changed on December 28, 2014, since Raghuvar Das's government was formed poverty is getting reduced in the state with the result of positive policies and thinking of the Jharkhand government.


Singh said that investors were invited through Momentum Jharkhand in February. After this, the speed of development in the state has been accelerated. MoU which were signed in Momentum Jharkhand will be soon brought to the surface. Three MoUs were signed at the closing ceremony of the Jharkhand Mining Show. MoU signed by MECL will create more than 50 blocks of minerals in the next three years.


India’s 40 percent of Minerals and 29 percent of coal is found in Jharkhand which makes the state one of the richest mineral zones in the world. The mining sector is one of the biggest employment generators for the state as it has the largest minerals reserves, mining and mineral extraction which makes it the major industry in the state.


The JMS 2017 will cover the whole face of the mining, minerals and processing industry in Jharkhand and also it will provide new opportunities for the mining sector of the nation. Jharkhand Mining Show (JMS) 2017 will be a meeting ground of policymakers and senior government officials, industry captains, and will also facilitate exclusive buyer-seller meets.
