NTR Trust teams up with Facebook for blood donation drive

Hyderabad, Nov 20: In order to bridge the gap between blood donors and patients, NTR Trust has joined hands with international social media giant Facebook for the efficient availability of blood units. On November 18, under the initiative of Facebook for social good, a technology-enabled tool was launched. Along with this, NTR Trust and Facebook jointly organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at NTR Bhavan to support Thalassemic Children.


Speaking to the media, Nara Brahmani, the Trustee of NTR Trust said that this technological intervention would connect Blood banks, Doctor, NGO with the help of the strong network. Brahmani further expressed that the newly invented tool would efficiently fulfill the requirements of blood units for the patients suffering from blood-related diseases. The Heritage Foods executive director opined that this move would help to increase the awareness for the vital cause of blood donation and would bring hassle-free delivery for the needy.

On this occasion, actor and TDP Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, Upasana Konidala, the Vice Chairperson of Apollo Foundation, wife of Ram Charan and daughter in law of Megastar Chiranjeevi, also attended the Blood Donation Camp. Heritage Foods executive director Nara Brahmani is the daughter of Nandamuri Balakrishna and daughter-in-law of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.




NTR Trust is a not-for-profit social welfare organization founded by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Established in 1997, the organization was named after the legendary actor and former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao.
