Delhi, November 21: Since Nitish Kumar left the JD(U)-RJD alliance and formed a new government with the support of BJP, the conflict within JD(U) is going on. Sharad Yadav fraction of the party wanted to stay with RJD and later got expelled from the parry but claimed for party symbol as his fraction is “real JD (U)”. But election commission granted the use of the party's arrow symbol to the Nitish Kumar-led group. Sharad Yadav finally moved to Delhi High Court challenging EC’s decision.

On 17th November, when Sharad fraction’s claim was rejected, his supporters gave the indication to move to Delhi High Court. As Nitish Kumar group demonstrated “overwhelming majority support" both in the legislature wing as well as in the national council of the party, the group got the arrow symbol.

The acting President of Yadav faction in JD(U) Gujarat legislator Chottubhai Vasava mentioned it before the bench asking for an urgent hearing of the issue. The bench headed by Chief Justice Gita Mittal listed the hearing for tomorrow as it is related to Gujarat Assembly polls.

While advocate Nizam Pasha from Sharad faction asked the bench to dismiss the EC order, Advocate Gopal Singh, appearing for Nitish Kumar’s faction, opposed it. He said EC passed the order hearing it in a different context.
