Tawang, Nov 21: Warm welcome was accorded to members of Tawang Yatra led by senior RSS functionary and Patron of Bharat-Tibbat Sahyog Manch (TBSM) Indresh Kumar on its arrival here at the famous Tawang Monestry.

The members offered puja at the Monestry later.

In his brief address on this occasion Indresh Kumar recalled how in 1962 the then Prime Minister Pundit Nehru had given up hopes to retain Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in India in the wake of Chinese aggression.

He said through this Tawang Yatra we are rekindling that hope and confidence among the people that we Indians love every inch of our motherland and will protect it with all our might. We will free Mansarovar and Kailash from the clutches of China and force it to vacate the Aksai Chin area which belonged to us.

He said that a united and awakened society can guarantee the victory at every level.

Praising the Indian diplomacy Indresh Kumar said that when China was threatening us in 2017 in Doklam India used its strength of dialogue and diplomacy to compel China to withdraw its forces from Doklam.

Similarly in the BRICS conference China faced diplomatic defeat at the hands of India on his support to Pakistan and terrorism. India has exposed China on its support to Pakistan and terrorism in the entire world, he added.

He said that when Dalai Lama or Indian Defence Minister goes to Arunachal Pradesh China takes objection and terms it as Indian interference in its internal matters. But the Government of India has rebutted politely that it was China that is interfering in the internal matters of India.

He said the message of Tawang Yatra is India will remain a united country always.

Earlier, the Tawang Yatra which began under the auspices of Bharat-Tibbat Sahyog Manch (BTSM) in 2012, resumed its onward journey by offering puja at the famous Kamakhya temple at Neelanchal Hills near Guwahati on November 19.

The Yatra led by Indresh Kumar and other office-bearers of BTSM will conclude on Nov 24.

Addressing the gathering of 350 yatris and other people assembled on the occasion Indresh Kumar attacked the expansionist policy of China and independence of Tibet. He also exposed the China-Pakistan nexus and their covert support to terrorism in the sub-continent.

He reiterated that Congress did not bring independence but gave partitioned the country. Mahatma Gandhi was dead against the partition of the motherland and never participated in function at the Red Fort.

He said that the Shahid Smarak at Tawang is a new temple of Mother Bharat where the yatris will offer puja and visit the Into-Tibet border and collect the sacred soil of the border to carry it with them to their homes.

He said that we commit ourselves to the independence of Tibet. We want to give the message to the world through this yatra that there is no reason to feel unsafe in the North-east. People should visit the region to know the ground situation.

This yatra has added to the development of tourism in Assam and other North-eastern states and the number of foreign tourists have also increased. People will come to know the truth only when they see things for themselves, he said.

BTSM General Secretary Pankaj Goyal, Chairman of Assam Tourism Development Corporation Jayant Mall Baruah, Swami Yatindranand Giri, BTSM Assam unit President Ghanshyam Ladiya, and other prominent personalities were present on the occasion. Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is also likely to participate in this Yatra.
