More Three LeT militants eliminated in joint operation by security forces

Handwara, November 21: The Special operation in Magam area carried out by the security forces has killed three Militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) on Tuesday. The Police have claimed that during the Joint search operation the Militants were found in the north Kashmir's Handwara district.

 

The Director-General of Police Shesh Paul Vaid said that three LeT terrorists all Pakistanis counteracted in Magam area of Handwara district in North Kashmir. Excellent work, he said.


According to the local media, it is said that after the launch of Joint search operation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and the CRPF in Khar Mohalla on Tuesday morning, the gunfight started. As the forces advanced the alleged spot, the Militants which were hiding started firing at the army triggering off a gunfight three militants were killed.


On November 20 Indian security forces gunned down one local terrorist after a fierce encounter that broke out in the forest area of Tral in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

According to SATP, in encounters between the Indian Army and the Militants 185 terrorist were killed so far in 2017. While in 2016 165 terrorists were eliminated. From 1988-2017 23,318 Militants were slain.
