Gujarat Assembly Elections: Filing of nomination for first phase expires by Tuesday; 377 nominations filed

Gandhinagar, November 21: The last day for filing the nomination for the first phase of polling which is to be held on 9th December in 89 constituencies is on Tuesday. Total 377 candidates have filed their nominations on Monday. Also, the Congress has issued its second list for 13 seats and the four candidates have been replaced from the preceding one.

 

In the existence of BJP National President Amit Shah, the State President of BJP Jitu Vaghani will file his nomination papers for Bhavnagar West constituency on Tuesday. And also the senior BJP leader RC Faldu will file his nomination.

While, on Monday Congress has released another list of candidates in which 4 candidates from the seats of Junagadh, Bharuch, Kamrej and Varaccha Road constituencies have been replaced. Therefore, Congress has professed their candidates on 86 seats out of 89.

On Sunday, Congress released the first list of its 77 candidates for succeeding Gujarat Assembly elections. On Monday, the BJP declared its third list of candidates with 27 names. The 14th Gujarat Legislative Assembly election, 2017 is scheduled to be held on 9th December 2017 and 14th December 2017.
